Date: Monday, June 2, 2008
Bus departs: 11:45 am (immediately after the morning sessions.)
Driving Directions to Stoneforge
Restaurant (arrive by 12:30 pm)
Take
a comfortable tour through history, where our forefathers landed and started
this great country. As the tour unfolds, experience the excitement of
yester-year with facts, fiction and folklore.
Our first
stop will be lunch at Stoneforge Restaurant, located on the waterfront on
the way to downtown Plymouth. Then we’ll head to
Plymouth Rock,
where the Pilgrims landed in 1620; the
Mayflower II, a reproduction of the ship that brought the Pilgrims to New
England; and a special in-depth look at the National Monument to the
Forefathers.
We will
also see a working reconstruction of the Jenney Grist Mill, our country’s
first mill, standing on the original site.
A stop at the Plymouth Bay Winery, overlooking the
historic Plymouth Bay, will give you a chance to learn about and taste the
delicious local wines made from the cranberry and blueberry crops in the area.
At the
conclusion of the tour, we will join the participants of the LDC Forum Golf
Tournament at Pine Hills Golf Club for the 19th Hole Beer Bash.
The bus will return to the Hotel between 7:30 and 8:00 pm.
The
Pilgrims themselves couldn't have asked for more!
